Medical & Surgical Case Symposium

(Video Case Presentation  & Discussion)

Submit a challenging and interesting medical or surgical case (can be a video=max 5 minutes) and get room full of opinions. The lively session will be moderated by Anat Lowenstein, Joseph Moisseiev, Steve Charles, Rick Spaide, Arup Das, Emmet Cunningham, George A. Williams, Phil Matthews, Tarek Hassan and Murat Oncel. Conference will use interective technology(keypads) to allow members to participate actively in stating their views and positions.  In the light of the data from participants, experts with wide-ranging experience will then provide guidence on how to navigate the pitfalls of different medical and surgical approaches.

Educational Objectives and Purpose
 The Mediterranean Retina III Meeting is scheduled in Istanbul on June 13-15, 2008, is to be held in a relaxed casual atmosphere.  Presentation on various topics of vitreoretinal surgery and the management of vitreoretinal diseases and exchange of ideas formally and informally will take place.  Particular attention will be devoted to having free exchange of information with every opportunity to have the participants discuss with each other the current state of our field. New and ongoing research data and the most advanced concepts and techniques will be presented.
Upon completion of the scientific sessions, the participants shall be able to describe the findings, diagnosis and treatment of various vitreoretinal disorders such as macular degeneration, choroidal noevascularization, diabetic retinopathy, venous occlusive disease, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, ocular inflammation, tumors, proliferative vitreoretinopathy and retinal detachment.
